Everyone likes getting something for nothing. And, while you may have heard that this is impossible, that’s not necessarily true, at least not if you know how to go about it.
The truth of the matter is that you can easily get free products and free product samples if you know how.
First Things First, Speak Up
One of the first things you should know is that free products are readily available. Companies and manufacturers have a certain amount of stock set aside to give away, and you could be the person they give it away to.
How, you might ask? Well, sometimes getting free products is as simple as asking for them. Don’t be afraid to ask retailers and others you do business with if they have any free products or free samples available. A lot of the time, the answer will be yes. And, the worst it will ever be is “no,” so you really have nothing to lose by speaking up and asking for the things you want.
Offer to Write or Tape Reviews
Businesses know that the most powerful form of advertising is word of mouth. So, they are often willing to shower you with products if you offer to review products for free.
Free product testing is something that anyone can do. If you write well, for example, you could offer to leave Amazon reviews or other online reviews in exchange for a free sample. You can either ask the manufacturer directly, or look for sites- there are many -that offer this opportunity.
Or, if you are lucky enough to be someone with a large social media or Youtube following, you could do Facebook Live or Youtube videos in exchange for free goods. Many people have actually built businesses around reviewing products, so don’t be afraid to give it a try.
Sign Up for All the Freebie Sites You Can
Even if you’re not big on reviewing items, you can still enjoy free products.
Freebie sites have been around forever, and they are a true treasure trove for getting free things. These sites often list freebies by category, company, and more, so you can easily find the freebies you want, and it’s fun too.
Sometimes, there may be a small “catch” to get the freebie you want. A lot of the time, for example, you’ll have to sign up for a free product samples mail list. That’s not so bad, though, especially since you can easily create a special email address just for this purpose.
Sometimes, you may have to pay for shipping on an item but still get the item for free. That’s worth it for items that you really want. Other times, there is no catch at all, and you just get a free item for nothing.
In any event, freebie sites are a great way to find a lot of free items and to make every day a fun mail day.
Sign Up for Rewards Cards
A lot of people think that rewards cards are a scam or an annoyance. And, while it may be annoying to have to sign up for them, it’s really worth it in the end.
That’s because these cards often come with great freebies, such as free samples, free full-size items, discounts, coupons, and more. There are rewards cards for everything from supermarkets and department stores to hotel chains.
As long as you don’t have to pay anything to sign up, always go ahead and fill out the rewards card form. It will pay off in the end.
Complain When It’s Warranted
Earlier, we mentioned the importance of speaking up when you want something. However, you should also speak up when something isn’t as you wanted.
If you order a pizza, for example, and your order is wrong, arrives late, is cold, or is otherwise unsatisfactory, let the company know. More often than not, you’ll be rewarded with a free pizza, coupons, or other apologetic offerings.
If you get a product you don’t like, let the company know. They might just do something about your dissatisfaction.
Obviously, you should not abuse this method of getting free items. But, with that said, you are entitled to good service and good products when you pay for them, and the company should make it right when it doesn’t live up to its end of the bargain.
As you can see, there are all kinds of ways to get free stuff in this world. Make the most of the opportunities available to you, and watch the freebies pour in.
